What your extra hours are worth, at the flat 150% rate Article 107 sets.
How Saudi overtime works (Article 107)
Saudi Arabia pays a single overtime rate: 150% of your hourly wage — your normal hour plus 50%. Unlike the UAE, there's no lower daytime tier; every overtime hour is paid the same. The same rate covers work on a rest day or official holiday, which can alternatively be repaid with time off.
Your hourly wage comes from your basic salary divided by 240 — that's ÷30 for a daily wage and ÷8 for an hour. On SAR 9,600 basic, an hour is SAR 40, and an overtime hour is SAR 60.
Based on Saudi Labor Law (Royal Decree M/51), Article 107 — last verified 14 June 2026.
